Founded in 1958 by Harry Burnton, a menswear tailor who specialised in fitted suits the business was then expanded in 1971 by son Jon Paul who began men's formalwear and suit hire from the Swadlincote shop.  When current business owner Hannah Lancashire (Granddaughter of Harry) started working for the business in 1998, Hannah saw the potential to develop the business further afield in Derby, to create a formalwear hire business which would focus on groomswear and capitalising on the growing wedding market. Jon Paul now have 2 branches across the Midlands in Derby & Swadlincote.

Now in her 25th year of working in the wedding industry, business owner Hannah is incredibly proud of her achievements, which include being English Wedding Award Regional Winners in the East Midlands for Groomswear 2016 - 2019 and 2022, but is always looking to advance the business by offering the latest styles, fabrics and even suits for canines to stay ahead of her competitors.
